I would like to become involved in politics, but I feel like my being a midget causes people to take me less seriously. shouldn't they just consider my views though? I'm solidly against gay marriage and gay adoption, prolife, antiimmigration, and for the posting of the ten commandments in schools and courthouses. shouldn't that be enough?

The number one limitation against you becoming President is that you aren't a member or close affiliate of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
If the White House is your goal, you have one of two options. Develop, support and promote a position on effective globalization, on furthering the efforts in the US of implementing the UN's Agenda 21 program as supported by the GOP and the Dems, and become politically active in advocating the expansion and privatisation of government under corporate leadership. Then take steps to become a CFR member or to work with their membership.
That would be the easy route and the way to become recognised by both parties. Based on your personal views, I'd suggest that once you are recognized you choose the GOP route, but ease off on the anti-immigration stance. That's a hindrance to a globalized system and is the reason that Bush supports amnesty.
If you want to take the high ground, you can take the difficult road to the White House. You can expose the globalist cabal in both parties and run on a platform of supporting the US Constitution, Sovereignty, and individual liberty. Just expect to be labeled a loon and to get no media attention.
The best option in my opinion is to run for Congress. Once we get enough people on Capitol Hill who actually support America we might be able to elect a President who is a patriot, not a corporate shill. That hasn't happened in many decades.

I think unfortunately your assumption is right, just look at our current political situation. If substance mattered do you think Bush would have ever been elected? But then again you never know until you try that's whats great about this country, right. Lets make one thing clear I wouldn't vote for you, purely on your political positions you've expressed in your question, unless you are being sarcastic. I encourage you to try your best
