Gatorade is a non-carbonated sports drink marketed by Quaker Oats Company, a division of PepsiCo. Originally made for athletes, it is now often consumed by non-athletes as a snack beverage. The drink is intended to rehydrate and to replenish the carbohydrates (in the form of sugars sucrose and glucose) and electrolytes (sodium and potassium salts) depleted during aerobic exercise, especially in warmer climates.

No. Lucozade is technically an energy drink. It has caffiene.

Gatorade is a drink that has electrolytes to help keep the body hydrated and functioning after long periods of sweating and dehydration. Was developed at the University of Florida for their football team.. the Gators...hence, Gatorade.

It is a sports drink filled with electrolites and other important minerals and vitamins that are lost during a workout.

Gatorade is a thirst quencher, a fluid replacement beverage for use when people are hot and thirsty. “Energy” drinks (such as Lucozade, Red Bull, CarboPlex, and a variety of others) are closer in composition to Gatorade Performance Series Energy Drink- and are formulated to provide a concentrated source of carbohydrates.

Many of the energy drinks contain caffeine and about three times as much carbohydrate as Gatorade, as well as other substances like ginseng, taurine, etc.

As a result, these drinks slow fluid absorption and should not be used for those occasions when rapid replacement of fluid, carbohydrates and electrolytes is important.

This drink can be found in the US in any convinent store or gas station. Sometimes they even sell it in veding machines. I am not sure where you are from so I cant help you that much.

Gatorade and Powerade are made by the same company in the U.S. Powerade is some super-duper version of Gatorade. Gatorade(according to the text on the bottle label) is a fruit-flavoured drink whose only special virtue is that it's supposed to quench your thirst faster and better than other drinks. From a taste point of view, I admit that it seems to have less sugar/sweetener and is more dilluted overall. But that doesn't necessarily mean that it will feel equally refreshing to everyone. The company markets Gatorade primarily to athletes based on this "super-quenching" idea.

It is a non carbonated sport drink.

Over 40 years ago, a team of doctors at the University of Florida took on the challenge of keeping the struggling Gator football team properly hydrated in 100 degree heat. Their answer was Gatorade. And the results are legendary.

There are 2 types of Gatorade. One tastes like lemon and the other one tastes like orange.

It is like Powerade, but was the original, developed by scientists at the University of Florida in the 1970s. It was called Gatorade because the mascot for the school is the gator. The football team drank it to keep hydrated and "charge" their electrolytes. It is rather thirst quenching and comes in many fruity flavors.
