I've read a lot of stuff by doctors that say that the more women think it will suck, the more it does. A lot of it is mental and we're making the situation worse.

I changed my attitude about PMS and I've noticed a big improvement

When are we going to stop being whiners?

Attitude does make a difference--the mind plays a big role in our physical state of being. If you think you feel like crap then most likely you are going to......however, I don't think that PMS is more mental than physical. How else can you explain your pants buttoning last week but not today? The cravings for red meat when you are vegetarian? Its your body telling you that something is going on.
Who said we were whiners? I don't complain...I had a hysterctomy but my ovaries were left behind so I still experience "PMS" to an extent. The hormonal fluctuations which cause the mood swings and feelings of depression each month. But I deal with it.....I take consolation in the fact that I no longer have to worry if I remembered to buy tampons at the store. Its all in how you look at it.

I think most of it has to do with proper diet, exercize and nutrition. I think most "illnesses" these days can be fixed by proper living. Take something for the pain if you need it, but if you don't fill yourself with salty food and if you drink plenty of water the week before, you won't feel bloated; if you don't fill yourself with caffeine the week before, your cramps won't be as bad; if you get proper exercize and sleep, you won't be so tired and cranky while your body needs more energy to do what it needs to do that time of the month. It's common sense, but these days, everyone wants an excuse and a pill.

Hey it's not all in our heads. I don't keep track of my periods but I know when I'm fixin to start because my back starts hurting. It doesn't hurt alot but it's enough for me to notice. But I definately don't use it as an excuse to be a b****. That's has to do with the individual person.

Well It is the only reason we're "MOODY" is cuz for some people the crapping hurt more so we (because mine is the worst pain ever) get mad cuz we wanna be left alone in our room , in pain.... to just go to sleep and not feel it........ so theres a mood mad, hurt, and sleepy......thats the only reason......
