Ok, mine is pretty simple but everyone raves about it: 1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained of fat (at least some of the fat!) 3- (6 oz) cans tomato sauce 1- (6 oz) can Salsa El Pato (its a spicy tomato sauce in a yellow can with a duck on it, you could probably get it at wal-mart)(with all the other stuff, just one can will only make it a little spicy, but if super sensitive, add 1 more can of Tomato sauce) 1- (4 oz) can tomato paste 1 cup of water (more or less to desired consistancy) 1 packet spagetti seasoning (the $1 packets from by where you get sloppy joe and taco seasoning) Mix all together and let simmer (thats on low-low heat) for about 10-15 min. As for the noodles, I always break the dry noodle in 4 pieces (by the handful) before cooking them so that they are not too long when eating. And make sure not to over cook the noodles - too soggy noodles ruin everything. I also do my "almost homemade" garlic bread with it: 1 loaf "garlic bread" from the store - pre cut and buttered add more butter sprinkle on lightly garlic powder (make sure its powder!) spinkle generously parmesean cheese Bake in 350 deg oven for 10-15 min, cool slightly, cut and serve.

When my family went on a trip to Gettysburg PA a couple of years ago, we were playing word games in the car. Some one said we should eat spaghettiburgers in Gettysburg. So I experimented, and did the following, I don't have exact proportions, sorry.
Cook 1/2 -3/4 package of spaghetti till done (break it in pieces first) (for 4 people). drain it. In seperate bowl, mix some ricotta cheese, grated parmesan cheese, oregano, and one egg. llightly beaten. mix in spaghetti. Form into hamburger like patties, put in 375 degree oven in a baking sheet sprayed with pam for about 30 minutes. Or you can put some spaghetti sauce in a baking dish, and set the 'burgers' on this. Cover it as it cooks. Sorry I can't be more exact with the amount of each ingredientl, I always cook by eye. The patteis should be firm but not dry.

This is different than traditional spaghetti but it's so yummy!
Lemon Parmesan Spaghetti:
INGREDIENTS:
8 ounces spaghetti
1/3 cup unsalted butter
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
1 teaspoon lemon zest
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
salt and ground black pepper to taste
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and place spaghetti in a greased 1.5 quart casserole dish.
Melt butter in medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat, and stir in sour cream, lemon peel, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth. Pour mixture over spaghetti in casserole dish. Mix well
Bake 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until heated through. Remove from oven, and add grated Parmesan cheese and parsley. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

Here's one for a hearty meat sauce:
2 12-oz. cans Contadina tomato paste
2 lbs. ground chuck (really tastes best with ground chuck)
1/2 cup dried minced onion or 1 white onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp. garlic powder or 3-4 cloves fresh garlic, finely chopped
1/2 cup dried parsley or fresh Italian parsley, finely chopped
1/2 cup dried basil or fresh basil, finely chopped
1/2 cup dried oregano or fresh oregano, finely chopped
Cook ground chuck and drain grease. Put cooked ground beef in 6 quart stock pot with tomato paste and fill pot with water until water level is about 3/4" from the top of the pot. Heat to a boil, stirring occasionally, adding garlic or garlic powder and dried minced onions or chopped onions while stirring. Once the sauce starts boiling, reduce heat to simmer and add parsley, basil, and oregano (if you use dried spices, pour them into your hands and rub them together over the stock pot to release the flavor before they fall into the sauce). Allow sauce to simmer until thick, usually 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Serve over your favorite type of pasta and add parmesan cheese to taste. Enjoy!
