nope it's totally painless, it's just going to feel weird to be able to run your tongue across your teeth with out having braces in the way :)

I can answer this , as I used to have braces, and I definately was No good at pain , and still not good at pain.

I can tell you , they do not hurt nearly as much , as they do getting put on , and the main thing you will feel , when they take them off , is uncomfort , but not really hurt.

Although once they take them off , for the first few days, your teeth could be sore , as they get used to not having the braces on any more, but its well worth it.

Good Luck

Imagine giving birth to a 30 pound baby, having your braces off is 10 times worse

No it doesn't. I had my brace a year ago took off. You just feel the pressure when your dentists removes the small metal pieces. It's a hard and long work, afterwards the cleans your teeth wiht a special "brush" to remove the rest to the "glue" left.

No, it doesn't. It will be very strange not to feel metal in your mouth or have rubber bands suddenly shoot from your mouth when you're talking (lol), but it's great to see straight teeth!
