no, i am in the same position, ive jsut been for a run and nearly died, but its made me feel so much better, its all about motivation, no other person can cure it, try ridiculing the person so they become embarrassed to be a couch potato, that way itll keep them on their toes!

Been a couch potato is just another type of lifestyle for a lot of people, it is not a disease, some people just need to be motivated off the sofa and into some form of exercise, starting with a 10 minuet walk each day and building that up until it becomes a 30 minuet walk is great way of getting some exercise, some people just have a low self esteem, other people work hard and just want the sofa for the rest of the night, motivation is a big help in getting anyone off a sofa.

It is not a disease. It is just laziness.Getting active by doing some job is the bestway.Cultivate an ambition and work for it.In most of the cases lack of purpose for life, having money and less interction with the external world contribute to this state of mind.Self help is the best way to come out, though councelling may help sometimes.

It's not a disease, Hun. It's just a Nickname for Lazyness, in Forthmore, just sitting all day on a chair,Couch, etc. The only "treatment" for this is to tell the person to quit being Apethetic towards himself and get off the couch.

I would say a state of mind. I couch potatoe is someone who feels there is no point doing anything except watching t.v. If they found something to motivate them, something they enjoyed then I'm sure their attitude would change.

Go outside for 1 hour a day & get some sunshine, whether you walk or sit or yard work or whatever. It will invigorate you just enough to want to do it again & maybe even get off the couch more often.

I would try making the outside world sound great. Talk about stuff you did and invite them along each time. Maybe there is someone that they know they just don't feel like dealing with. It could be a social state.

"Diagnose" is the incorrect term, "sort an opinion of" could be greater precise, and definite, that's conceivable to sort an opinion in step with something, even entire fabrications, if one so chooses, human beings do it each and every of the time. no count number if those comments have been in any way on the subject count number of the information insofar because of the fact the must be desperate and confirmed could be a separate concern, and this sort of decision and demonstration ought to no longer be achieved without ingredients previous what's attainable in this communicate board.

well my husband used to have this problem......we had a major fight and i said i would leave if he didnt peel his lazy *** from the **** groove that he had made himself........he now works on his motorbike, goes to yoga with his sister, and will get up more often than not a the crack of dawn to walk the dog.......im not sure if it has more to do with my threat, or if has more to do with getting away from me yelling at him either way it worked....oh and i sent him to the doctor too, to see if he had depression, turned out he did, so if you are having a hard time getting someone off the couch maybe that is their problem too.
