I'm 21 but frequently get told I look 18 and hate it. Is it a disadvantage in dating to look younger?

For me it was. When I was 19 I looked 14. And when I was 28 I looked 17. The worst is that guys my own age have always thought I was too young for them, and I know younger guys will freak when they find out how old I really am. Look at my 360 - in the wedding picture I was 30. The other photo is me at 53. I figure it'll all catch up with me at once someday! Having a high squeaky voice doesn't help.

Maybe for now. I had the same problem. When I was 25, the legal drinking age was 18. I still got carded going into bars and sometimes guys I was interested didn't believe I was old enough to even look at. But now that I am 50, well it's pretty nice when someone sees me and my 29 year old son and says "No way your his mom"

I would much rather look younger than I am than older than I am.

Not at all! I'm 37 and I look 25. That enables me to get a girl that is younger than myself. For the most part, I don't like dating women my own age, many of them are not looking too good at age 37.

Krishna was looking like 16 when He was already for 125 years on this planet. Beauty is the most nice in your age. But don't forget, young or old, you are not the body but the eternal soul that is even more beautiful than the material body.

Please, chant Hare Krishna and be happy.

No. The older you get the more you will realize that is a great compliment. I can understand at age 21 how you may not see it that way. Just hope you always keep the young healthy glow!

Not at 21, but it might be if you still look 18 when you're 35.

NO!!!

I am 44 and people think I am in my mid 30's. As you get older, looking younger is even BETTER. What guy doesn't want a young hotty - you're legal, you look young, AND you can go to a bar with him...win - win situation if you ask me!

Not in today's society...looking more youthful equates to being healthier and more attractive...not to mention it broadens your dating pool age group...I was given a compliment just last night when a particular lady casually mentioned she and I appear to look close in age, and yet I am actually 10 yrs older than she..

not usually, the man I'm with is 20 and could pass for 17 - pretty easily. Unless you're 35 and look 14 I would say you're okay :)
