Sounds like a perfectly reasonable age to get married. I don't see how a career has anything to do with it. It's not like men have to give up a career to look after kids, give birth or anything similar.

On the average no he is not to young, but being mentally and socially ready has very little to do with age...but by 28 one would think he should plan to find a significant other if he were to consider having a family in the near future.

If he's 28 *with* a career, then he's already showing responsibility and understanding of life. I'd say he's plenty old enough to add a loving relationship with the right woman to his world. It isn't the numerical age of a person, it's the wisdom & age of the mind that's important. imho

It depends, are you ready emotionally, mentally, physically and financially for a marriage? Age does not matter its the mindset that you have. Marriage is a big responsibility to handle, because its constant work on a daily basis. Being married is also a career in case you didn't know....

It's the right age to marry. If he's got a career then that's excellent - that's all the more reason that he's stable to take on the responsibility of marriage.

Not for a percentage of men. I don't know what the exact percentage would be, but some men are definately not mature enough at 28 to get married. I know some of them and it's pretty sad.

Age is not the factor. Your desire to be with that person the rest of your life is what is important. How does she make you feel? What are her financial beliefs; since that seems to be a major concern of yours? What is her personal financial status... that will give you the best clue as to her beliefs about such. Do you enjoy each other's company above all others? Is she your best friend? Friendship, above all else, is paramount to the continuance of a long term relationship. All other factors will enhance, or detract from, the friendship.

28 is a great age, and the fact that you are also focused on your career, shows you are responsible, and consider your choices in life with care, I say go for gold and enjoy.
