The morning started off badly, I got a flat tire on the way to the place, once I got there I felt very strange , it sort of looked like a small apartm. rather then a salon, it looked very voodoo-ish, there were weird dolls and statues all over and there was this chant playing, over and over. I was alrdy. there though and I was waiting for AAA so I decided to get my hair done anyway. The lady doing my hair was very misterous/almost scary, but I tried to make conver.2 make the time go by smoothly, when I was done my hair appeared to look alright so I tipped her & she scheduled me for another appoint. 4, 4wks later, that is how long the style is suppd. to last, but it only lasted a wk. & a half, I have had this style b4 did by some1 else and it lasted. Anyway the day of the appt., I decided to not go but I didn't call. @ 6:20am I am dead sleep& the lady calls and in this deep raspy voice she says weren't you supp. 2 have an appt. this morn. I was so shocked, I said I 4got she said well ..

well when were you going to tell me, and I said I wasn't b-cuz I forgot about it, and she just paused and started just breathing into the phone, I said I was sorry and she just kept saying umm hum, umm hum, so she said that she could of been sleeping and that what I did is bad business. I did not know what to say, she was just sitting on the phone, I said look I am sorry, I have to go I will have to reshedule another time, and she said well when, and I said when I wake up. ( I was fully awake by then) but I just wanted to get her off the phone. Was I wrong for not calling her to cancel. I had only been there once. I go to another salon and they don't really care if people don't call when they are not going to make there appt. becuz they have enough regulare customers that it doesn't make a difference.

No, you don't owe her an explanation. Maybe about the missed appt., because I would be upset if you were my only client and I got up just to go and wait for you not to show, but this lady just sounds weird. If she calls again, I would tell her that you have decided to go back to your regular stylist. If she wants to know why, let her know that the style she gave you didn't last. She of course will turn it around to make that your fault, but just let it go and if she persists, hang up. Something is very wrong in the first place if she is being so persistant about making another appt..That seems to tell me that she has no customers and NEEDS some business. You're right. Most stylists don't have the time to call and check where their no-shows are. They have plenty of other people waiting who want their hair done.

Sure you could have called to cancel but the creepy feeling you had in the begining certainly was proved to be correct by her weird call at 6 am!
Either way, it didn't last half as long as it should have so don't worry about her - she is a strange lady!

I agree with JenF, you could have cancelled, then she could've put someone else in u'r place. But don't break your head about it, people all make mistakes, to forget about an appointment is but one of them. This lady sounds a bit weird, maybe she felt rejected or something! Just go on with u'r life and 4get about her!!
