Pork is actually much more expensive for dog food than chicken, beef, lamb and other meats. It's also not quite as palatable. Many dog food companies use chicken because it's the easiest and cheapest meat to come by. Pork is also a bit harder for dogs to digest. One of the only reasons a company would use pork is to have an alternative meat source for dogs with allergies.
There are actually several kinds of dog foods with fish, for the person who wondered about that. Fish is also a very expensive meat to use in foods and is mostly used in Rx foods. Even cat food is just flavored with salmon, not made from it.

Most dogs aren't picky about most things but dog food makers found that dogs like pork as little as they like milk!(And they HATE milk) Some industries have just pork for the less picky dogs(Its more expensive most of the time) and some industries have very few pork bits in the ingredients(Which tends to not even come up in the ingredients list)
So I guess I'm saying, you can buy pork flavored but its more expensive on its own. Why? I DONT KNOW!

You don't get any pork in pet foods for the simple reason that there is no waste material on a pig. Absolutely EVERYTHING is used in one way or another. Just think - everything from pork scratchings (the skin) to sausage skins (the intestine) as well as all the meat joints and brawn. About the only thing they don't use is the squeak!

I don't know why they dont have pork food for cats. Petreet the brand comes out with various flavors that they are really nice. Lamp with potatoes, chicken with olives. When I was living in Greece my cats used to love them. Unfortunately I cant find them here. They also love bacon and salami :)

My dog gets an upset stomach from beef and tuna. I got to all an all natural dog store. You will find pork flavored dog food. It is actually more expensive. But that is because it is an all natural food for dogs.

Pork is not that easy to digest and can cause stomach upsets; zoo animals are rarely fed it.
Tigers can't eat it at all!

I always wondered why I couldn't get any fish flavoured dog food for my dog. He loved fish, it is good for dogs, with the oils being good for them as well as a healthy addition to his diet. Cat food always comes in both meat and fish varieties, I say equal rights for dogs!
He always used to nick the cat food, and preferred cat biscuits too
