I have been eating & doing daily simple exercises like this, I am slim and am the same weight for over 10 years.
Eat several (5-6) small meals a day...your body will burn calories faster and build your metabolism in a short period of time.
(eat about every 2 hours)
The first 8-10 pounds you shed is water.
Meal suggestions:
1st: piece of fruit
2nd: string cheese, summer sausage/tuna, cottage
cheese/yogurt
3rd: bowl of cereal
4th: soup/sandwich
5th: a good dinner-meat, potatoes/pasta/rice, veggie...your body needs carbs, protein and vitamins to stay healthy
6th: salad/raw veggies
Drink plenty of water
Drink milk or juice/water with every meal (no soda pop)
Stay away from munchies, fried & fatty foods.
Cardio exercise is great, but most people don't continue for an extended period, do "daily" simple exercise like walking/hiking...swimming and biking are low impact, playing games like basketball, baseball, volleyball will tone your body and you'll have fun doing it.

There are no quick fixes to weight loss, it is more about healthy living than going on fad diets. Just start to make changes in your daily life and you will start to notice a difference in your weight, happiness and energy.
Some suggestions are:
1. Try to make eating fruits and veggies a priority in your day. Try to reach at least 5 servings. A serving is a piece of fruit that can fit in your hand or a quarter of a cup of something small, like berries or peas.
2. Make it a priority to take a walk with a friend or partner. Not only will you get the exercise but it is a great time for bonding and spending time together.
3. Check out things that are going on in your town, often there are free places to exercise and free activities to try. Getting out and limiting your screen time (time watching TV or on the computer) makes a big impact on weight loss.
Remember that it is not what you weigh or what size clothes you are in. It is about being healthy, eating right, exercising and limiting things such as smoking and drinking will put you on that path.
Be confident in who you are, and it won't matter what size you are, people will flock to you because you carry yourself with confidence, vitality and health.

A very good website that's free is http://www.sparkpeople.com The site will help you set some goals, offer you a meal plan, help you plan your workouts, and keep track of everything. If you follow everything, it definitely works. They used to charge for membership, but it became free last year.

Hi there!
I would try ours. It is very good. I can't advertise here, but you can email me if you are interested and I can send you the link. Our customers are very happy and it is a free service. Otherwise, you may want to try some weight watcher knock offs.
Good luck on your diet and fitness goals!

Additionally with what any one else says, I should give a very simple technique and I'' explain how it works. It is simple Thermodynamics.
One (1) gram of water in order to encrease its temperature for one (1) degree requires 1 cal.
2 lit of water in order to encrease the temperature for 30o require 2000X30=60.000 calories.
If we drink cold water (2 lit/day) in order the temperature to come into balance (from 5oC to 35oC Body temperature ), this amount of water requires 60.000 cals.
even if our intake is 3000 cals/day drinking at least 2 lit of cold water, the intake is not enough to cover the calory consumsion of our body, therefore this energy requirement will come out of the fat deposits of our body.
My advice is: don't change your eating habits.... Enjoy your life with less intake of "sugars" and get involved little bit with exercise and drink at least 2 lit of cold water daily.
The results will be amazing. Within 3 months...you are going to loose at least 20-25 kgs.
Please consider that 60.000 calories is not big amount of loss, because we receive callories from external sources (i.e. Basking in the sun, hot food, hot coffee or tea, hot dresses, hot invironment). So, in order this technique to work well, we have to take in consideration all the sources that are involved and reduce the daily intake of calories.
