It is true that one cannot prove a negative, which leaves the burden of proof with Theists. Most people don't make this connection.

I am a Christain, & I don't demand that anyone to try to prove that God does not exist. But you said that Christains can not prove that God does exist. Yes we can prove it. Let me ask you these questions, since your wrote this letter you must be breathing, Who gave you that breathe, Who put the stars in space to hang there for so many billions of years, why does the sun come up & go down, why do we have seasons, what causes the flower to bloom, what causes a tree to shed it's leaves in the fall & to bloom in the spring, when you plant a seed of corn in the ground why does it comes up as a corn, why not come up as a green bean, why does a acorn come up as a oak tree & not a pine tree, now I could ask you many more questions, But I don't demand a non-Christian to prove anything. You ask the question, I gave you some answers, & I guess you are going to say this all happened by the big bang, very well could be, But who made that big bang? God did.

Just remember what religions really are. A belief system. They were created thousands of years ago by some people who were a little more intelligent than most to control the masses of people. And for whatever reason it is still acepted worldwide today. The fact is that NOBODY on this planet REALLY KNOWS IF THIS GOD EXISTS.It's all about what and who YOU believe in.But to convince everyone else to believe what THEY believe in,is absolutely pathetic.I personally don't believe that the bible is all that accurate. As a matter of fact,I think it's a bunch of stories written by a group of the same people I mentioned earlier. But I do believe in something like a God or a higher power, but more in a spiritual sense rather than a physical being.Somehow,we're all connected in that sense,I think. At least at some point in the last few millions of years (according to the bible,we've only been here for like 6000 years,PLEASE!!!! Get real!!) SOMETHING OR SOMEBODY WAS HERE before us OR STILL IS,who knows. But,anyway, that's just me and MY beliefs.Noone should ever convince you about what THEY believe in.Have you ever had something valuable to you meaning so much to you, like a talisman or a statue and it brings you luck? Well, that's how religions work. You can pretty much believe in anything and as long as it brings you happiness in life, than that's YOUR religion or YOUR God.And in the end ,that's all that matters. But,remember, that's just MY theory on religion.Whatever you think it may be,that's basically your business.Ok,I'm out....Aloha

Hello Selnyk.. :)
I would not demand people to prove that God does not exist..
There is nothing I can say to you that He does exist, if you are truly searching to see if He does..Our Lord will only reveal Himself to those that ask with a longing and searching heart..
I was an Atheist until 1978..so I can testify that God does exist, my life can be a testimony to it..but if one is not willing to believe one another, than anything I say unto those that never knew me..cannot possibly understand where I came from..and what I am now..

The big difference with Trevor's example is: a 3-year-old is smart enough to be talked through the steps of punching that number into a calculator, and then hitting the "square root" button. He CAN get the answer with a little help, though he may not understand what it signifies.
The theists, however, have nothing they can point to that unequivocally demonstrates the presence of the biblegod (even if they can't exactly explain how it works)....

That is simply turning the argument around....clever and done all the time. I think the real question is why is it so important for atheists to prove God does not exist to Christians. The bible tells the Christian to witness, so that is why we tell all about Jesus.

you seem a bit mixed up...the #1 question on this site, just before 'why are Christians so stooooopid?' is 'i want proof that God exists!!!!'...i've yet to see a single Christian demand proof that God does not exist-is this a tactic you atheists learned from faux news???

ERROR - OVERGENERALIZATION
I personally have never really cared if someone could prove/disprove God's existence. What I believe in my heart is my only truth and the only truth that really matters, right?
This could be applied to other areas of life, as well.

Kind of an oximoran situation, isn't it? We Believers will say such things as "I can feel Him around me" or "He lives in my Heart" and nonbelievers want to see miracles or be zapped by lightening as evidence of God's existance. What is sad is that when that bolt of lightening hits, it is explained by the weatherman. And miracles are there everyday for people to find, but you have to BELIEVE to see them!
