Flank steak recipee:
4 lbs (2 large) flank steaks
Quick and easy marinade
1 bottle Kraft catalina dressing
aprox 1/3 bottle whorstichire sause
dash of garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste
score both sides of flank steakes with sharp knife in diagonal criss XXX cross patern carefull not to cut too deep about 1 inch apart. then cut each of the flank steakes into aprox 4 same size pieces, then put into zip lock bag with marinade ingredients
( should be a dark brown collor ), and marinade about 4 hours or overnite would be prefered. then cook on broiler pan under the broiler about 10 minutes total cooking time, turning over halfway thru cooking time the marinade will just slightly burnt in spots and carmalize. this is the way you want it., also works great on the BBQ grill especially with a little mesquite smoke.

An oldie but goodie:
Using a food processor, grate carrots, onions, celery, and bell peppers using the medium shred wheel. Cook in a non-stick pan until limp.
Pound flank steak until tender. Trim any really apparent fat.
Spoon vegetables into middle of steak, roll up, tie with string.
Place in baking pan in 350F oven for about an hour. Serve with tomato sauce.

Use the marinate of your choice, and I either grill it or broil the
steak until medium. Flank steak should be medium done or
less and cut at a diagonal thin slices.
Generally mashed potatoes are served with it.
good luck

my fav is 1 table spoon olive oil 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper. rub all over both sides of meat wrap well with plastic wrap. leave it in the fridge for at least an hour or over night. set the meat out for about 10 mins before cooking so it can get closer to room temp. I use a broil pan and broil it in the oven. broil for 7 mins each side for med. 10 for well done 5 for too rare for me to think about. let it rest for at least 5 mins before cutting into it.

This is the only way to do it, pour teriahky flavored soy onto steak for 5 10 min, will not take to long to make them taste to salty, then grill with charcoal (not gas) super hot and fast to lock in that flavor.also add two beer's and a long island to the cook and walla!
