Has anyone ever dated a WaffleHouse waitress or cook, and prolonged the relationship after you wanted to end it, just so you could keep getting free food?

That's an interesting concept. However, I doubt that is a common occurrence as the price of food is more often less than the price one pays prolonging a dead relationship. Besides, I'm uncertain that free food extends to friends of Waffle House employees. I'll have to ask my brother about that as he used to work at one. (Seriously!)
