Er...yes they do... I had braces for about a year and a half. They don't usually hurt unless they tighten them (for me it was every three weeks). I remember the time when I can hardly eat because they hurt so bad that I think the only food that I was eating by then were soup and porridge. But don't worry, after a day, it won't hurt anymore. And honestly, I sort of missed my braces when it was removed... it was a nice experience after all... and it indeed made my teeth align perfectly.

Well i have braces top and bottom plus rubber-bands. When they put them on it doesn't hurt. it hurts afterwards. Your mouth will feel really tight and like bumby cause of the brace .it will hurt to eat, brush your teeth, and floss really do anything with your mouth. you'll want to use the wax that the orthodontist will give u cause the braces will cut ur lip. you should take tylenol or advil before u get them on so that ur body starts taking it in. then it won't hurt as much.
It took me about a month to start getting used to them. i won't be getting them off until New Years. But it depends some people their teeth hurt them for like 2 weeks others take months. it all depends. hey it hurts to have nice teeth. i hope this info helped u.

They don't really hurt in the process of putting them on, but they will hurt for a couple of days after. And when they get tightened. So yea, they do hurt sometimes, but it's not too bad to bear and it sure looks good when they're off!

They don't. It just feels quite uncomfortable in the beginning, but after several days you get used to it. Putting on doesn't hurt either, it only takes a long time so you have to be patient:) The only bad thing about it is that the "glue" tastes terrible!:)

I had them for 3 years. It doesn't hurt when they put them on, but it hurts a little when they tighten them once a month. Some motrin can help with that.

It does not really hurt getting them on, but they are extremely frustrating to have, and when you get them tightened your mouth will be sore a bit

they hurt when they first start moving your teeth and then every time they tighten them. Its generally not that bad, but it can be hard to eat if they've just tightened them cause your mouth and teeth are so numb

Your teeth get sore after they put them on and when they get tightened. It only lasts for a day or so.
