Some seem to believe there is a futre out there full of events, people, decisions, etc... apart from what God has planned will happen. How can anything exist apart from God planning it? There is nothing out there in the future for God to view that is unknown to him or that he does not already know. The reason he already knows is because he planned it. His knowledge is based upon his planning not the other way around. Therefore God knows what people are going to do because he has planned what they will do.

REMEMBER:

God's understanding is higher than ours, and His foolishness is greater than our wisdom(figure of speech).

The Bible affirms this when it says in Isaiah:

The Lord said "My ways are higher than your way, and my thoughts than your thoughts"

Therefore, it is impossible to comprehend what God is like or how His plans are like.

Personally, I think that God does not plan what happens but He knows what will happen. Why? Remember, time and space is in His hands. Therefore, He is outside of Time and space, and is unaffected by its flow or nature. That's why He knows the future, because He has control over time. Since He created Time and Space, He is outside of the effects of these two things and has complete control over them.

And that, is why He set his great plan of salvation for humanity into motion even before the world began!

Praise God!

There is no tomorrow in God just more creation. God is always expanding and He is always in the now. All that is was and will be already exist in the mind of God. The point of creation is in the mind of Christ, and that is just an aspect of the total Godhead. It is the part of God's mind that is the creator. Yes there is a point in the mind of God where it appears to be being created this moment, but that is man's perception. The stuff that is being created is being moved from understanding to understanding. Since God is all knowing it is like an artist painting a masterpiece. The painting is already in the artists mind but does not become a painting until it is put on the canvas. The creative aspect in the mind of Christ is on going but the manifestation is only taking place at God discretion.

God is outside of time. I wouldn't say that God "planned" all events but the God knows about all events before they occur....and the events don't throw God for a spin.

He is all knowing. He didn't plan for Satan to rebel, but he knew about it and it falls inside God's plan of "working all things out for the good of those that love Him".

That is hard to wrap my mind around, but it is true. God allows evil (He didn't cause evil) and he will use it for his purposes.

God knows what people are going to do because he know all things, but he doesn't cause all things. There are secondary causes...sin is a secondary cause. That is why He can blame us for our sins. He lets us sin, He knows when we are going to sin, he works it out in his plan, but he doesn't cause us to sin.

God is just. To say that he planned what we will do...as in sin...and then punnishes us for doing it would make God unjust.

No. He lets us sin. We sin by our own choice...but God uses it for his plan ...at the same time.

If God knows the outcome he wants to see if we will do what is planned. Life is a test!

We are insignificant in the eyes of men, but in the eyes of God we are the only reason for existence.
