With the rapidly changing rules and guidelines for what is, and what isn't allowed on board commercial aircraft in recent days, the best answer to your question is to check with airport security personnel at your departure airport, or with the airline you are flying on. I don't think it would be a problem bringing your I-pod in your checked baggage, but rules vary about carry-ons

If you're leaving from or transiting through the UK, you should plan on putting it in your checked baggage. As of now, it's not allowed in the passenger compartment. That may change by the 21st so you should check with your airline closer to the day.
