Over the past six months I've lost about 30 pounds and will be losing more weight in the future. What I want to know is, after losing this weight, how do I regain the elastity of my skin so it's not so flabby? And, yes, I am doing this the right way with a proper diet and have taken up swimming; no fad diets here.

use a good moisturiser, one with collagen and elastin. i used palmers cocoa butter when i was pregnant and after i had my daughter (lost a lot of weight really quickly). my skin is still as firm and stretch mark free as before i got pregnant. moisturisers with collagen and elastin in are usually more expensive but its definately worth it. also, if you are exercising, the exercise will help to tone up the muscle under the skin and this will also help to tighten up skin.

FIrst let me say - congratulations on the weight loss and life style change.
If you lose the weight very quickly your skin will have the tendancy to hang rather than cling. As long as you are continuing to exercise and eat right your skin will be more apt to conform to your new body. However I am not sure how much your total weight loss plan is but once you lose a lot of weight your skin never really bounces back completley.

Congrats on the weight loss! Your skin eill eventually regain some of its elasticity. Drinking a lot of water, taking vitamins (esp. vitamine e) will aid in regaining and retaining elasticity. If you've had a life of yo-yo dieting, going up and down drastically it will be harder for your body to bounce back. Best of luck to you!

Yes. It depends on how long you've had the weight on your body/how rapidly you lose the weight to. Good Job :)

Good question...for one, it takes time for your skin to readjust to your form. It will really help if you do more intense activities such as weight training. Getting your muscles into shape will help by forming themselves to your skin. I hope this helps!
