The ancient monks withdrew from the world into their cells to reflect and foster an inner peace. We who live in this world cannot all become hermits and mystics but we all need to find that inner peace. Have you found your "cell" inside your soul to withdraw and experience this inner peace?I believe that if we do not we will find ourselves tossed and battered by this life and it's cares.

we all need this to have some time for us and quiet reflection and in that place we can pray

Within myself no, but then I don't pray either. When I feel a need to be more spiritually connected to the world around me I usually take a ride up to Bigelow Hollow State Park in Union, CT and just sit on a big rock at the waters edge and look out over the lake that is how I reconnect myself.

I think the majority of us search for that inner "cell" constantly and it can change with the situation our lives are in at a particular point. What works for one may not work for another. The key is to recognize the need to pray in silence, but moreso, to thank the power you believe in everyday for the wonderful gifts you have been given.

Though it is hard to concentrate with all the noise, and fuss of this world...Yes, i do try to meditate to help come to a better understanding of the way the world works, and to become at peach, to calm myself.

I'm aware I'm short tempered, but i work with it so that i can, in the future, server The LORD patiently.

I thank you for your peaceful, and enlightening words, Mrs.Debra Debra.(Mrs.Debra M.)=P
