I think that Mike Tyson might have a rude awakening if he fought some of the guys in the UFC in an MMA fight. I don't know about a straight boxing match. I like the Ultimate Fighter myself as well as the Contender.

Pride FC because the fighters are stronger, faster, better. Look at some of the UFC fighters (recently) that went into Pride they got killed. Chuck Lidell is champion at his division and he went to Pride and got killed by Qunton Jackson. I heard he had to go to the hospital for a long time after that fight. Now Wanderlia "The axe Murderer" will be coming to UFC to fight Chuck we will see what happens. I think with Wanderlia's technique and style he can really put a great fight for Chuck. Take the champion of any division of UFC against pride and they would get killed by the champions of Pride. Gomi would kill any of their light weights. Fedor with his monster hands will kill all of their heavy weights. Nugerara would submit all of their fighters. Pride has way more exciting, experienced, better fighters.

I FORGOT TO MENTION....The UFC rules blows..
Come on elbows to the face!!! Man that can open up some nasty cuts we saw that happen in last UFC...The guy was in a POOL of blood. I am not no wimp or MMA hater but that is bad for the sport. We need to increase fans not decrease. That cage is horrible for those not used to the groud and pound game. You cannot do that in Pride FC. Once your body is out of the ring the fight is restarted on the feet. If you are squeezed up against the ropes while on the ground the fight is restarted at the center of the ring. That is very fair. Cannot forget to mention you can have that nice Silva style soccer kicks you cannot have in UFC. I love soccer kicks...lol... In UFC the judges are horrible. We all know BJ Penn beat the canadian St. Pier. We all know Forest beat Tito (close one). In UFC couple of take downs and ground and pound moves then you got the fight. The Pride scoring is better. It is based on the effort made to finish the fight by KO or submission (don't lay and pray), damage to the opponent, standing combinations & ground control, and aggressivenes. Bushido (branch of Pride) they hate people when people lay and pray and they restart the fight faster than UFC... UFC has some major competition and Pride just needs a realty TV show and it will blow away UFC...no doubt.

All the other leagues are pretty new IFL, contender...

K-1 is not MMA just stand up. It can get really boring when the fighters are in the same style and same level. I get bored watching it. The fighters seem like the have no knock out power. K-1 world max is an exception because those are the best of the best going at it. I loved the last K-1 world max. It was great.

With Mike tyson in MMA just take it to the ground and all his abilities are useless. Submit him or ground and pound tell refree stops it. In K-1 the person just has to keep his distance and use kicks as jabs.

Pride is better. The UFC mostly has american fighters comming up from reality shows like "the ultimate fighter". The talent has been diluted over the years. Pride has supreme fighters from Brazil and Japan, which are countries that breed fighters. As for Mike Tyson, he would get taken down and submitted in less than 30 seconds. His striking wouldnt be a factor, because MMA fighters are well rounded and can slam you, ground and pound you and submit you.

I have to admit that while I enjoy watching TUF, it has led to the talent pool of UFC being somewhat diluted. Pride pulls from a bigger international pool, and is the best action going. I wish we could get Pride rules (but keep elbow strikes from UFC) in a cage. THAT would be perfect.

No one hit harder than Mike Tyson in his prime. But that was a loooong time ago. He'd be lucky to last 30 seconds against an MMA fighter.

Pride is going to have the better fighters because of the money they are getting over there. Not to say UFC doesn't have great fighters, but Pride is offering more money so it's hard to pull those guys over to UFC to fight. I think the UFC will get to Prides level of popularity pretty quick, MMA is blowing up in the USA.

Yeah, Pride and UFC, are the best. Add elbow strikes, cage to Pride, leave knee strikes to downed opponent, but take away stomps (that alone would get it outlawed in most states here). And yeah, not only could Tyson get submitted quick, there are plenty of fighters that would knock him out just as quick.

In terms of show production I think ufc does the best job but when it comes to the fights I'd say pride usually has the best fight cards. as for Tyson in a fight he certainly has a punchers chance but he'd better hope to stay on his feet otherwise face possible ground submissions

UFC. If Tyson was taken to the ground not all of his abilities would be neutralized. He can bite the hell out of an ear, don't think that's legal anywhere...Yet.....
