OK - I have changed the thermostat kit (£21) and replaced the heating element (£31) but still my tumble dryer does not provide warm air!!! The filters are clean, the water is empty.
What can be wrong?

There are so many points at which the electric current to the heating elements can be stopped it's tough to diagnose by mail. You need to get the wiring diagram out (it's stored in or on the machine somewhere) and trace the current path from the point of entry to the point of entry. There are two points of entry because it's 240 Volts. The interruption can be anywhere along that path. It will be almost necessary that you have a meter to sense continuity.

it may be several things, If you have fuses, check in the fuse box to see if one is blown, dryers draw a lot of current and the side that powers the element may have blown. Most dryers have a high limit switch as well, usually near the element, test it by holding a lighter to it, if it pops its fine and re install it.if not, buy a new one. you may want to add details to the question as well, such as make model ect ect.

check the settings- it could have been switched over to air dry or fluff which will not put out heat. if its not that- you may have to have a professional come look at it or replace the dryer.
