theoretically speaking, communism is a very ideal way for a community to live. equality, non competition, sustainability are it's strongest points. and it sort of adheres to the Christian teaching of sharing, not thinking you are above others, loving yourself as you love others...etc... unfortunately we have not seen a perfect form of communism yet

I suppose a fair answer would be that I don't agree with the concept.
I believe in a republic with elected officials who represent the people.
The US has a wonderful set up, we just allow it to be abused, the majority are not always right any more than always wrong.
Democracy is not the best way to go because like I said the majority may not always be right.
If we go along with liberals we would have a mixture of a socialist society with democratic rule. We would let everyone vote and the majority would decide what is best. No one would strive because we would distribute the wealth among everyone and no one would be rich or poor.
I think the idea that everything should be done for the good of the country, that individuality is not important and the government should control every aspect of life is not a good idea. That my view of communism.

Actually, the early Christian church initially was communist (they "held all things together in common"-see the first few chapters in Acts). We don't know how long that lasted, but it's clear in many of the Pauline epistles that this practice was eventually abandoned by the church.
I don't know that my Christianity informs my opinion on this subject, but I believe that communism on a wide scale (such as a national scale) is doomed to failure due to the corrupted nature of man. It's bad enough to have a few men/women in charge of political power so I think having monetary power separated from the political power (to the degree that is possible) is a good thing. Also, the history of Communism in the world is not particularly friendly to Christianity. I think the best answer to this would be to have democracy and capitalism, but for churches and Christians to help the poor to the greatest extent possible; i.e. to not enforce being charitable/religion on the godless.

I don't think it has anything to do with what Chrisatians think about communism.
More to do with what people think.
There are people who are genuinely in need of help who have health problems or women who have a husband being the provider for the family and has died .
Where people have good health and energy to work their own load and provide for themselves even if like the old fashioned way where they work two jobs to have the lifestyle they want it is up to them how hard they want to work to get there.
Taking from the hard workers to make them equal to the plodders is not a fair system.
There is no such thing as equality in life.
You can give two men a thousand dollars each.
One will invest wisely and make more money the other will go out and spend it and end up with nothing where is the equality?
Hard work and self motivation is the only way.

A first step would be to address the difference between Socialism and Communism. Socialism is the bastard child of Communism and most nations that are "Communist" are in fact Socialist. Communism is about sharing with those who need that which you have in abundance. Socialism is a means of control using Communism as a device to keep the masses in check, and yes, Jesus was a Communist.

Well, I think that communism is a great idea....but doesn't work in practice because of human nature. I'm not saying people are evil. Just that goals are sometimes blurred and are taken so extreme that is looses sight that it was for the people, for the common good.

Communism as practiced interior the twentieth century, and a few places even now, is godless, and not wealthy. some human beings evaluate that the 1st century Christians practiced comm. because of fact they held all issues in trouble-free. Latter day (nope, no longer the gang, I advise the cases) experiments in protecting all issues trouble-free have not worked nicely. human beings put in positions of management have a tendency to look after themselves and their close ones first.

I think the original roots of communism had good intentions, but it grew out of control. Since it teaches it's "own religion", then it is evil.
