I think he is board of u, but he wants to see u because he is use to u ,so don't see him for couple of weeks and if he really love u he will go back to u

He is clearly not interested in you as a partner as in a relationship. You can remain friendly about it, but this time you choose when YOU want to see him. Don't try and get him back because you don't want him to have that kind of power over you.

It may mean that he still loves you and wants you around as a friend, it could be that he didnt want to hurt you so bad and just said "lets be friends", or he could just want you around for sex. Just cut your ties now or youre gonna end up getting hurt.

Don't try to get back with him.
He was the one who wanted to remain friends and let me tell you what the "remain friends" line means.
He does not want to be tied down to one specific women he wants to still have fun with other woman so if you tried to get back with him you would be sharing him with other women,

No you shouldn't....he just wants to keep you in the wings in case something else doesn't work out. Don't play his game honey...if you want to be friends with him then by all means do so but make sure that's its your rules and not his....
