Sometimes staying together means that the indiviuals need to change and is too much work and many do not want to put in that effort. Those couples do need to try harder - but many times one is willing to change and the other thinks that they are just fine the way that they are. When all else fails, yes, divorce.
Other times staying together does more harm than good and I am all for it. Really, is there any point in staying married to a man that beats you or degrades you? Or one that does these things to your kids?

It depends on the circumstances. I think it should be the last resort. When you get married you agree " in good times and bad, till death do us part". If there are kids involved try to work it out and if it can not be worked out then it is best to divorce. It would be better for the kids not to have all that stress and unhappiness in their life.

yes i am .....if it was not for divorce some people would have to stay with someone who stops caring about them ,,,or someone who cheats on them or lots of things ,...i know that my parents got divorced when i was younger and it was the best thing they did because he did not want to be a part of the marriage any longer so if there was no option of divorce she would have had to stay there and be miserable and with someone who did not want to be with her anymore ..and i m married and i know i would want the option should something happen
