Not unless you make it no chance of finding a lover. Each guy just like each woman has their own preferences in what they look for in the opposite sex. Some guys like the "dumb blondes". Some guys may be intimidated by an educated and ambitious woman. Others welcome it with open arms.
If you are genuine in the fact that you are a smart woman, then you have that going for you. I personally find it a major plus. You might want to open up and be approachable. Learn how to flirt, relax around guys, and not be so serious.

I love smart women. I can't stand dumb ones. What's the point of spending your life with an idiot just for occasional sex. There's too much wasted life between those 15 minute sessions.
With a dumb blonde I'm just pleasing myself. It's like a sex toy. No brains but it gets the job done.
With an intelligent woman I'm sharing the pleasure and care more about her pleasure than mine.
The smarter you are the more levels you can connect on.
I think the problem must be the domination.
There's a very small market for that.
Guys who want it pay a dominatrix so they can walk away from it and live a normal life.
They wouldn't want it full time.
If you are truly a smart girl you'll try to tone done the dominance and try to find things that make you feel as an equal to the guy you're dating. With two intelligent people no one needs to dominate.
When you do find the right guy the 15 minute sessions could be stretched out for hours.
Love is worth the time it takes to find the right match.

This does not necessarily make you unapproachable. It's all about what a guy is looking for in particular. Some men love dominant women, but most guys want to feel like they fill the dominant role because they want to feel like the man. The thing about the dumb blondes being superior doesn't aplly at all. Men could care less about that notion. Go with who your compatible with because despite our personality traits, we all have somebody that matches us. Even someone like you that's dominant, and smart.

I think men like smart women. But few (only weak ones - and not all of them) like to be dominated. Use your brain to find a way to communicate with them, not to make them feel you are superior. Being dominant is not exactly a quality the men are looking for...not at all...

Honestly??...YES! Most guys prefer women/girls to b more submissive n sweet n all the nauseaus things u can imagine. women who actually can take care of themselves, n r smart, take charge kind of person r usuallly considered as self sufficient n 2 much in control. They want to b the ones who wears the pants n guys/men usually don't take that very well unless u want to go for the gigolo kind or the yes, yes,ma'am,yes dear kind which is boring. So, i guess the best thing is to 'give' yourself away bit by bit n not shock the hell out of them. Most guys like to think n want to b in control n call the shots.Let them; but ,also give n take.

different people have different tastes...
whether you are smart type or display material, im sure that there are a lot of men out there who would appreciate you for who you are...
smart and dominant personalities of women are not really a deterrent in attracting someone, your personality might just imply that you also needed someone who is of ur equivalent or better than your personality

"Smart" -- not really. Smarter guys prefer smarter women. As for "dominant", well, if you're bossy, pushy, critical, confrontational, etc, that probably WILL push a lot of men away. So tone that stuff down.
