I have had physical pain, aside from childbirth, but I screamed my head off, when I just used by arm and hand too much. I have Lymphademia in that arm, no lymph glands due to cancer, long ago, so no big deal any more. But I lost my Mother, and it has taken 2 years, we weere best friends as well. I honestly do think, aside from marriages that have gone wrong, but finally meeting the right man, but that the loss through death of a loved one was the very worse for me. What about you?

I lost my mother over 2 years ago, I rang the home she was living in 4500 klm away and was told she had phneumonia and was going to the hospital but would be ok.I rang the hospital next morning and was told that she was sitting up in bed having a cup of tea I was thrilled.
Then I got a phone call from the hospital saying I was given the wrong information, she had died an hour and a half ago.
I never got to tell her I loved her and my "Darling Sisters" (NOT !!!) Had her cremated on my birthday 2 days later not enough time for me to get money to get there so emotional pain is bad.
BUT she was attacked with an axe had 3 ribs broken and a 3 inch piece of skull removed because of the impact of the axe. The guy laughed about it in court was sentanced to 7 years served 17 months and is walking around somewhere here in Brisbane.
Imagining the fear and pain she must have gone through and the laughter of the guy in court REALLY HURTS

Over a 10-years period, when I found out that my life-loving, beautiful younger brother had HIV then developed full blown AIDS and had to watch him slowly waste away, illness after illness, and see death standing at his shoulder. But at the same time i have never felt such a pure unconditional love for anyone and appreciation of everything he did and said. His sufferingtaught me so much about what it is to be a good, caring person. His courage, pain and suffering has made me a more compassionate and deeper human being .

Mentally - the ungratefulness of people I thought are my good friends.
Physically - the pain I went thru' for a couple of weeks after my heart bypass surgery
Emotionally - the loss of my dad eight years ago and currently the suffering of my wife from cancer treatment and the trauma she is enduring for the last 4 years.....

When I lost my father 3 months ago. I am still in shock and I cant believe that this is not a nightmare that I wil eventually wake up from. I have had physical pain but nothing beats the loss of my Dad. I miss him like crazy.

I think emotional pain is the worse ever because you can always take some analgesic for physical pain but there is nothing you can do for emotional pain other than let time heal or drink (LOL). For me, when the one I loved lied and betrayed me. I had invested so much into that relationship. It almost killed me when I found out he had another girl pregnant.

Mental anguish is the worst. Physical pain can be treated with painkillers and surgery. Emotional will hurt, but something can make you feel better. There is no painkiller for the mind or the soul, and it's the one pain that hurts everywhere, everyone, and all the time. Oh they can give you antiphyschotics and therapy, but they aren't cures.

Guilt, By far the worst emotion there is.

I've felt guilt for many terrible decision's I've made in my life and no amount of time makes the pain dull away -
My best friend died at 13 years old because of one simple decision i made, That will never leave me, It's something that's always deep down inside, I may one day forget her laugh, her smile, the exact colour of her eyes or the way she wore her hair,

But I'll never forget it was my fault she died ... It will never even fade the tiniest bit.

There are many types of emotional pin in life. Loosing my best friend to a car wreak was hard, and divorce is hard. Looking at young men being shot up in Vietnam was tough, My cousin drowning was hard. Loosing my friends to heart attacks is hard. The longer we live the more we have pain

Well, I am too young so I do not have experienced some situations. But the worst pain I have felt is when I broke up with my first love. It may sound lame, but it is true. The good thing is that we are dating again now :)

emotional pain last as long as you want and cut as deep as you allow them to go.
Every one has their own pain.. physically, mentally, and emotionally... some has manage to survive them.. some has just give up..i think we only need to always look on the brighter side of it.. not on our loss.. not on how it hurts.. but how we can live happy though we are certain that our life had a little difference to them..
