Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't property taxes deducted when you pay taxes each year? So you're not paying tax on what you pay in property taxes. It's why homeowners get such a bigger refund.

It's called taxation with representation; it's what we fought for in 1776 along with independence. No taxation without representation????? That worked out real well. LOL

In my state, tax on the home goes to local schools, water authority, fire and police protection, programs for senior citizens. Have you ever had a fire? called a cop? gone to putlic school? taken a shower in clean water?
