oh no!! I thought-think Pakistan was a much greater threat than Iraq was, if it still was about nuclear weapons industry. It is not justified at all, even if I am real bad in explaining why. The sucky president can't even find men for his war the honest way, doesn't that say enough? I thought the better question was is the bushesman a human sane man competent to run a nation? and then the answer is yet again, NO. Can he hold stand? does he have people that stand by him, who are not paid enormous amounts of money? Does he have friends, followers believers?? I don't know, but does he have enemies? YES. All over the world? YES. Can you tell me what he has done good? ANd don't start about the us oil prices, cause we pay all the extra here

it's justified! if we don't take them out, they will take us out...think about it. they tried to blow up the World Trade Center years before, not to mention the USS Cole... if they fail, they keep trying until they eventually succeed. (they being the Islamic extremists who are behind everything in the field of terror)... and that foiled attack in London? wanna bet they'll try again until they succeed? I say let the Marine Corps at 'em... they'll be gone in like 5 minutes... then they can't trouble the USA anyomre...
and another thing... we've been fighting the Islamic extremists since Tripoli... before we started using oil and gasoline for a source of fuel for the purpose of transportation... so the war isn't about the oil... the Islamic extremists hate America because it is indeed a country based on morals of the Christian Bible, and the USA supports Israel, the Great Enemy of the Islamic world... hmmm... those reasons could be why the Islamic world really hates the USA, and is bent on completely destoying the USA ans Israel... plus, we've proven ourselves to be an important world power...
and about the WMD, there was a bunch of proof... but just because we didn't find them doesn't mean that they don't exist... or that Bush was lying... it just means that the WMDs could have been moved to someplace else... like Syria... (no i'm not saying that we should invade any other country... i'm just saying that it's a possible explanation)
and from a legal standpoint, the laws of the US say that the president must go through Congress to commit troops anywhere. Bush did that, and while Congress would not declare war (as is their power, and their power only), they did say that the president could commit troops as he saw fit, which is what the president did.

During the first Persian Gulf War in the 90's. Iraq surrendered. When they surrendered the US stopped hostilities. Iraq signed documents which said what they would and would not do. This was to maintain the peace. But Over the 15 years between then and now. Iraq broke this agreement almost 30 times.
That in itself is justification.

Is this enough?
Iraq has the world’s second largest proven oil reserves. According to oil industry experts, new exploration will probably raise Iraq’s reserves to 200+ billion barrels of high-grade crude, extraordinarily cheap to produce. The four giant firms located in the US and the UK have been keen to get back into Iraq, from which they were excluded with the nationalization of 1972. During the final years of the Saddam era, they envied companies from France, Russia, China, and elsewhere, who had obtained major contracts. But UN sanctions (kept in place by the US and the UK) kept those contracts inoperable. Since the invasion and occupation of Iraq in 2003, everything has changed and the companies have been scrambling to grab their share of the spoils. In the new setting, with Washington running the show, "friendly" companies expect to gain most of the lucrative oil deals that will be worth hundreds of billions of dollars in profits in the coming decades. The new Iraqi constitution of 2005, greatly influenced by US advisors, contains language that guarantees a major role for foreign companies. Negotiators hope soon to complete deals on Production Sharing Agreements that will give the companies control over dozens of fields, including the fabled super-giant Majnoon, whose 21 billion barrels are worth $1.5 trillion at today's prices. But no contracts could be signed until after elections and the formation of a new government, so that the Iraqi side would appear legally legitimate. While regional governments angle for influence over the foreign oil contracts, most Iraqis favor continued control by a national company and the powerful oil workers union opposes de-nationalization. Iraq's political future is very much in flux, but oil remains the central feature of the political landscape.

40 000 innocents living in Iraq are dead because of a hunch or ambition.
I believe Israel would have been the primary target had they had WMD.
Preemptive strikes without any proof cannot be acceptable or else we will be dropping bombs on families every time the wind changes direction.
We just created thousands of wanna-be terrorists.

Firstly, the US is not at war with Iraq.
Secondly, whats wrong with trying to right injustice, give them the right to choose democracy and to bring peace.
Don't believe everything the media tells you.
Those people who have escaped from Iraq, will tell you that anything is better than what they had with Saddam.

Yes. It got rid of Saddam Hussein and his two crazy sons. It freed 25 million people to choose their own government.
However there is no accounting for the crazy Islamo-fascists killing their own citizens and fellow muslims. Who would have thought that those people would be as idiotic as they are?
