If you are gay, you can't make yourself straight. You can act straighter. You can deny your homosexuality, to the point of not having any gay relationships. But inside, you'll still be gay. You question is would you ever have to have a sexual relationship with someone of the opposite gender? No you wouldn't. You'd be celibate then....and maybe hermitted.

I suggest you come to terms with your sexuality and then live it out in a caring and respectful manner, rather than denying yourself anything that you deserve.

Having a sexual relationship with someone is a personal choice, irrespective of whether you are gay, straight or bi. If you found a way to make yourself straight, then you still have a choice as to whether you have a sexual relationship with a member of the opposite sex.

Please explain how you intend to make yourself straight?

@Oxymo

I wonder where you came up with the idea "the addictive nature of homosexual sex". Because I've heard all my life about hetero guys who have to have sex with their wives, and other people's wives, and single ladies, all the time.

Therefore there is nothing especially "addictive" about the nature of homosex at all ... is there? Anyone could become obsessed with sex. Anyway, that has nothing to do with the question.

Somehow I doubt that you're qualified (since you're probably replying from some fact sheet some organization put out) to recommend celibacy to someone -- that can dangerous for some people.

It's kind of amusing how you people try to slip in here and pretend to be something you're not.

I think that u can't change your sexual preferences, I mean u just born being like u r and there's no way to change. Perhaps u can fool yourself for a while, play the big man game, but u can do it forever, soon or late you'll find out that u have never changed.

Not necessarily ... all a relationship with a member of the opposite sex does it make it look like you're straight - you wouldn't actually have to do anything.

You could remain celibate and have a relationship with one hand or an inflatable person ...

If you decided to go straight then it would depend on how straight you were going to go. Most normale men want to have that type of a relationship with the oppisite sex.

There are a lot of straight celibates. But if you've once been gay, you might then feel more comfortable calling yourself bisexual than straight. That's a matter of making words fit reality.

I personally don't think you can make yourself straight. However, I have known of cases where men seem to get away from the addictive nature of homosexual sex, where the urges seem to go away. Some of these guys never marry and remain celibate. Some are priests!

You can have sex with all the women you want...but you're still gay. You would just be a gay man having sex with a woman. Who you have sex with does not determine your sexual orientation - that is already in place at birth.
