Contrary to popular belief, relatively few Arab countries possess petroleum and natural gas resources. Other natural resources include iron-ore, lead, phosphate, cobalt and manganese.
It was in the Arab land that man first organized into a settled form of society, cultivating grain and raising livestock, establishing cities and promoting diverse skills and occupations. In such a setting, rich and complex cultures were nourished: ancient Egypt, Sumer, Assyria, Babylonia and Phoenicia were great civilizations, legends even in their own day, whose traces continue to be uncovered in archeological sites throughout the region.
It was in this same area that the three great monotheistic religions—Judaism, Christianity and Islam—originated, in time spreading to all corners of the world. The followers of those faiths lived in harmony throughout the centuries in the Arab homeland, since all considered themselves the people of one God.
The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him appeared in the seventh century A.D. with the message of Islam. His Arab followers soon spread the new faith in the West, across North Africa into Spain and France, and in the East, to the borders of China. These Muslim believers rapidly founded a new and dynamic civilization that for centuries was the only bright light in an otherwise culturally and intellectually stagnant world. Indeed, while Europe was experiencing its "Dark Ages," the Arab/Islamic civilization was at its apogee. It was this same Islamic civilization, with its many contributions to science and the humanities, that paved the way for the rise of the West to its present prominence.

I'm an Arab and A Muslim, I'm proud to be an Arab, our land witnessed the three religions, Jews, Christians and Muslims love our land cause there is something religious about it, An Arab also means either a Muslim or a Christian or a Jew, being an Arab does not necessarily means being a Muslim.
Our old civilization was very famous, and our land the oldest land known, and it is full of the most important locations in the world: Petra, Dead sea, the Pyramids and many more.
Many countries fought over our land ( and still do) for the importance of it's location and the oil we have in our soil.
So why not be proud?

If I were born Arab, I would feel really proud. Contributions of Arabs in the past to the rise of modern science and culture were just amazing. Arabs nowadays seem to be the only single ethnic community brave enough to stand up against American hegemony and Israel's expansionist illusions and Nazi agenda, armed with untold courage and fabulous faith. Branded as enemy the Western "values", Arabs are rediscovering their age old heritage, proud to belong to a culture which does not glorify moral deparavity and decadence, a community-based culture which does tolerate the crazy whims of selfish individuals. Yeah, I would be really proud

I'm an Arab and a Muslim. I'm proud being a Muslim before an Arab.
For all who think that being Muslim or Arab is something bad, I believe that you feel jealous of us, because you didn't examine it, I belive that being a Muslim and an Arab is the biggest bless that Allah (god) gave me. I know that many of you will be laughing on my words but I'm sure that you'll regret it someday.
I swear that everyone who'll become Muslim will know what I'm talking about and he'll feel the real happiness in his life, furthermore, he'll know the reason of living on this earth.

I am an Arab and i am proud of it.it is not something to be shamed of.It is enough to be from the same nation that prophet Mohammad peace be upon him came from .please read about him and his personality and then talk about Islam or Arab.also again and again you describe all Arab and Muslims with terrorism.i am sure that all these people who make these killings and bombing in us or UK or any other country not Muslims at all they are trained people brain washed to give this bad image of Islam.

It doesn't matter what you were born. it all goes down to who you are now and what your attitudes are. Of course, prejudice and oppression against others ain't good attitudes to brag about.

Pissed of at everyone.
I'd play the religion race card at every opportunity I get, and accuse every non Muslim of being racist and offensive.
But then again everyone, not only Muslims do that.
