I found loads of holes and mistakes in the BTTF like why wouldn’t the professor remember these meetings, and it got more confusing the every time I watched it but the matrix (to me) seemed flawless and I understood it more every time I watched it.
Which killed your brain?

When Marty McFly knocks out one of the pines, which in his time, would help create the Twin Pines Mall, he's changed the future already, so that when he returns to 1985, it is now known as Lone Pine Mall. Emmet Brown tells Marty (in the book) that only he would be able to share the joke with the Mall.

I guess that Doc Brown knows what's about to happen to Marty, but keeps it to himself, because no-one should know their own future. Didn't stop him looking at Marty's note in BTTF 1, though, did it?

As for the Matrix, yeah, the first one was great, but the others were confusing.

BTTF. It shows that it wasn't thought through when the first movie was made to have it as a triology, unlike the Matrix. I lost interest in the BTTF movies after the second one, even with a big crush on Michael J. Fox at the time.

Oh come now, BTTF was a bit of mindless fun, just sit back and watch the stunts and special effects. The Matrix was too clever for it's own good and spawned a herd of black pvc wearing nerds, in the end it wasn't fun anymore and lost interest imo. I never did understand what the truth was supposed to be!

I understood both...

Well ok I didnt understand the matrix at first but thats what you get for watching the 2nd one first,

But I understand where you are coming from, for BTTF. Hmmm just try to ignore the mistakes and enjoy the comedy of his mum falling inlove with him ;)

BTTF is the best trilogy ever made i waatch them all the time, there are more twists than you will ever get i still keep spotting new things in them where as the matrix was pretty straight forward .

The Matrix is just another story jumping on the biblical epic bandwagon. BTTF was lightweight and amusing. Why would anyone take either of them seriously?

back to the future was a comedy, with some intrigue added via sci fi elements. i feel like i understand it enough. the matrix was a horrendous mish mash of high school single serving philosophy taken far too seriously. i learned from the 2nd and 3rd matrix that sometimes producers and studios should stand in the way of a dumb creative vision.

Neither was confusing, they make it pretty simple for us.
The only glaring error which interfered with watching the movie was at the end of matrix 3.
Overall most things were OK, but considering Matrix was the only one that took itself seriously, it was disappointing.

Back to the future is much easier to follow. I understood matrix as well as I understand math.
