No, but I wouldn't leave the two of them unsupervised.

Dogs are like people, some are afraid of snakes, some are not. It's important when your husband gets the snake to introduce it slowly, and watch carefully for any aggression from both the snake and the dog. Dogs often foam at the mouth when they're excited or agitated, but doesn't necessarily mean a prelude to aggression. Unless the dog is really protective of you, I don't think you have to worry about him harming the snake.

well it depends really on the particular dog and his experiences with other animals - just like us humans !
for eg some dogs get along with cats just fine whereas some will attack cats on sight !! you have to evaluate that before you get the snake or any other pet
i had 4 turtles and a dog and my dog never tried to hurt the turtles, but another dog that i fostered almost tried to eat one of them !
i suggest that if you do get a snake - dont leave them two unsupervised.

No but I would advise on a Royal Python instead, they are the best snake to keep as a pet - I have had mine for 6 years and he's cool as fcuk

Anything that moves and looks strange is going to attract your dogs attention .Dogs are curiouse creatures and will stick there nose at anything and if they want at it bad enough they will slobber over it.Because of that a dog can get hurt .They dive those noise into anything and than they ask questions later. If your dog foams its because he wants the snake.stick a bunny in from of your dog and he will do the same thing

No dogs are curious creatures and if they have not seen a snake before may well attack it. also your dog may not welcome another animal in its space finally snakes do not make good pets venomous or not

Dogs will attack something they feel is threatening. If you train your dog not to attack them it wil be fine. I have never heard of them foaming when they see one and I used to breed Labs.
