It doesn't hurt, but sometimes it'll be red and have what looks like dried blood around it...is this normal?

by the way, the piercing i got was the monroe...the one where a girl's beauty mark should be

wot you have at the minute is normal for the healing process...wot you have to watch for is a yellow/green fluid...if you get this make sure you clean it more than you are... carry on the process for a week if it still has'nt calmed down go to the doctors he/she will proberly advise you to remove it. but other than that carry on wot your doing

Just keep on using the antiseptic they gave you in the piercing shop... If they didn't give you that, and it starts to pus green, then you might want to go back and get some. I have a lot of piercings and as long as you take care of them with the antiseptic liquid and a cotton swab, you wont get infected... Also refrain from kissing, touching, etc for a few weeks and that will speed the healing progress!

My daughter's ear bar got infected--she was constantly messing with it. She got huge bumps near the piercing post--red and swollen on each end. She was told to put sea salt or some crap on it. Nothing topical will work. She ended up in the ER, doc gave her antibiotics. Stop playing with it!
