I don't care for them but the Rolling Stones are the First and most prolific rock band by all accounts.

Well my personal choice is Live.
When you say live, everyone asks, who?
But when you sing their songs, everyone knows about ten. But i know that in terms of mainstream rock legend status, it has to be something like faith no more or even u2 or pearl jam.

Cacophony, and hardly anybody has heard of them. Look this one up folks as its worth it - these guys are spectacular - two world-class guitarists for starters. Other than that, Aerosmith.
