Good Thing: (Just one?) Beautiful lush river valley running through the center of the city. Beautifully green in summer, colorfull in fall, and winter wonderland in winter. Follow one of the many paths and you can forget you are in the middle of a big city.
Bad Thing: Less than 8 hours of sunlight from about mid December to mid January and winters can be cold and long!

nice and quiet even though its a council estate a lot of the houses were brought 7/8 years ago and a few have now been sold on and we seem to have got rid of the few bad elemants leaving a pleasant place to live

We have it all....Mountains....Forests...State Parks....Ocean...lobsters.... Moxie... 4 seasons.... Portland Sea Dogs (Red Sox Team), Moose, Bear, Deer, fishing, and so much more.
