Not trying to be mean at all. Do you believe in God at all? If so you need to turn to Him in prayer and ask forgiveness for your sins and also ask for the strength to overcome being attractd to the same gender. If you do this and truly want to change you should be surprised at the difference there will be in your life. Good Luck. You will be amazed at the respect from your parents. Here is some reading that may help you with your decision. 1 Corinthians 6:9-18.

"To make yourself straight" is not possible, all that is possible is to act straight.
Though it is possible for your sexual desires to change with mood, it depends whether you have ever had feelings for the opposite sex, if so they may become stronger if you meet someone of the oposite sex and your urges for a same sex relationship may lessen but the feelings will still be there under the surface.
The most likely scenerio if you act straight is that you will end up not terribly happy, if your parent's kicked you ot last year and you have survived this long without them do you really need them if all they are offering is pain? Both physical and emotional.
Get on with your life as you choose to live it and in a few years rethink your relationship with your parents.

Sorry to hear that you have been abused by your parents and thrown out of your home. You don't deserve that kind of treatment. Contact the national Pflag chapter...they can help you. Remember you can't change your sexual orientation..so stop trying. Be yourself and get some support!
Call pflag as soon as you can.

You are what you are and if this is really what has happened to you then it's a terrible shame that your parents have treated you in this way. Just because a parent finds out that their child is gay does not mean they stop becoming a parent.

Then your parents don't deserve you if they can't love you enough to accept WHO and what you are! We are either Straight or Gay, and are BORN such, not made. You can't change who you are so try to accept it, even if your parents never do, and try to live the best way possible, set good examples for others, perhaps use your sad experience to help guild others who are in similar situations, remember EVERYTHING has a purpose. God bless and keep you always.

Hey man, if you're gay your gay, why torture yourself? I think the ones who must have the most sex fun must be bisexuals. Why not play the field, try everything (BE SAFE) and see what really floats your boat. Get into a threesome with a very hot girl and a sexy guy.

Go and live with someone gay, and don't worry about being straight.
There's so many gay folks now that the straight ones like your parents are in the minority.

I'm sorry to hear your parents have gone to such and extreme! too bad they are such ingorant homophobes. you can't change being homosexual any more than you can change your skin color. the "ex-gay" movement is a crock. resorting to physical/emotional torture to "cure" someone of being gay is abuse!
accept who you are! there is nothing "wrong" with you!

John, I sense that you are angry and hurt. You have every right to be. If you feel you are gay you can't change it unless you want to live a lie. It took me a few years to come out to myself. I hope wherever you are there are sane people to support you. I am sure there are websites and or phone counselling to help you
