emo was created by lame selfish teenagers who have nothing better to do than get crappy poorly colored haircuts, loathe about, and whine about nothing, or their 17 year old bf/gf breaking up with them. not selfish eh? you don't see starving children taking photos of themselves on myspace going "OMG I'm so hungry its been 21 days since my last meal" unless you are starving yourself on purpose. which means you might need help.

I don't know what emo IS. If I hadn't worked in another state for awhile a few years ago, I think I would have missed goth, too. Those sorts of things rarely seem to find their way to Wyoming. I don't know if the youngsters here are too busy with ranch chores to have time for that sort of thing, or what, but it just isn't part of my world here.

I do know that most generations want to have something significant that is their own, and I personally believe that they're running out of viable options. We've had all the weird hair colors, the strange makeup and accessories, the leather and love beads, the piercings in odd places - what is left but variations of those ideas? Unless they go back in time and pull out 50s crew cuts, or to the 20s and try straw hats and flapper outfits.

I do wish we could get past the "I don't care about nothing" stage of things, though. I've never understood what is so attractive about that.

Havent you noticed that a new f-a-g,(the cigerette) oh um i mean fad fashion will come along sported my musicians, models, and actors?
Its apart of commercial consumerism.
making new fashions so that the new generation of kids can have their parents buy them certain clothes and the like. Its sells music, puts people in the theatre seats. etc etc etc
u wont see it on fuse, fuse it too manly for emo. not the right target audience.
