Hmmm... I've never heard that one before... all jeans have seems, not just Levi's. I ride bareback all the time in Rockies, Wranglers, Cruel Girls, and Levi's jeans. My horse has never had a problem with the seems. Some horses' skin is more sensitive than others, just like people.
I have never seen a horse that had sores because someone was riding in jeans.
My advice to you is to ride in whatever is comfortable to you. Remember, riding is supposed to be fun. Enjoy riding bareback... not many people get to experience riding bareback.
Hope I helped!

No, I don't think so. They have thick skin and tons of hair, so the only way it would become uncomfortable for them would be to ride like that for hours and hours, and even then, I highly doubt it. I used to ride bareback in jeans all the time, and the horse never seemed uncomfortable, nor were there any signs of too much friction.

Bareback driving doesn't harm horses in case you holiday in the right spot, that could be the same position you placed in a saddle. in case you continually holiday to some distance back it would want to harm their kidneys. Bareback is likewise good for the rider because it teaches stability and the horse and rider can sense one yet another more effective efficient. now to not instruct, I actually have by no skill heard of a community American driving in a saddle (or with slightly) and that they had different suited horses and were likely different suited riders.

I don't see it as a problem they have thick skin and hair. Just keep an eye on the areas where you legs touch the horse to see if it rubs off the hair or causes a problem.
My biggest problem riding bareback was staying on the horse.
I enjoy riding with a western style saddle better.

Riding bareback in jeans is probably kinder than throwing a big old saddle on their backs. Consider the difference in surface area in contact with the horse's back. Unless you are a 500 pound human. I agree with bossmare13 -- Wranglers are better!!

I would not be too concerned about the horse. I don't think it cruel. Just keep watching the parts were the seems touch the hair. But what about you? Take care not to cause too much friction on your skin andtry not to end up with raw skin.

I highly doubt it. But if your Levis have thick seams on the inside, they might bother you. If your going to be riding bare back alot, keep an eye out for problems, but I doubt any will show up. You will notice any rubbing long before it becomes a major problem anyway.

I ride my mare bareback in my Levi's all the time. She doesn't seem to be bothered. She likes to be ridden bareback.

I ride in Levis all the time and I ride barback.
More than likley you will have raw thighs and the horse will be fine. His skin is thicker than yours.
