I've always liked pelicans and think they would be very nice to have in the post-apocalyse.

In the post-apocalypse world it is unlikely there'll be any pelicans. I'm pretty sure you won't be there either. It's fair to expect that the dolphins and the mice will survive, though.

So if you'd like a pelican for a post-apocalypse pet, do the following:

- Build a bunker
- Stock it with enough food to last about 50 years
- Buy a pelican
- Wait for the dolphins to sing 'So Long and Thanks for All the Fish'

No one survive a nuclear war, except those with nuclear proof war bunker like the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany, Canada, China, North Korea, etc.

Yes, they're a very interesting and unique bird.

The only organism they say that is resistant to radiation from a nuclear holocaust are cockroaches. I don't know if the other species will survive. But each specie is a survivor and has will to go on. There is likely that other species will survive as well.
