Basically, for God's sake find sometihng else to worry about. You are more than likely perfectly normal. Obsessing will get you no where apart form the funny farm - even top models have imperfections. Life's too short, just live it.

Check out www.naturallybeautiful.co.uk for some tips on how to be healthy but not just stick to veg. Also buy the Sept issue of CosmoGirl! They've got some good excercises in there that I've been doing for a while and I can say that I've seen my tummy firming up and i can see a little bit of the muscle! YAY! Good luck. Inner beauty! A good exercise regimen and proper diet. 30 minutes of your favorite form of exercise 3 times a week is plenty. More is better, but that 1.5 hours a week will still do the trick. Cardio (running, swimming, biking) burns fat better than weight lifting, but muscle burns calories around the clock so an exercise program that involves cardio and weight/strength training is really the best. As for diet.......don't go on a diet, modify your diet. And by diet I use the following definition : the usual food and drink consumed by an organism (person or animal). never mistake this for a diet that you go on to lose weight and then come off of. They are restricting and likely to fail in the long run. Finally, I would recommend a visit to the doctor for a full checkup and his clearance and advice before making major changes AND please bear in mind that weight loss of over 2 pounds a week is something like 1000% more likely to come back than a weight loss of 2- pounds per week. Slow and steady is the key.
P.S. growth spurts occur in two ways (since you're around that age).....A.) you grow, get skinny, put the weight back on -OR- B.) you pack the weight on 1st, get pudgy, then grow out of this. Just another reason to consult your physician.

First, remember that the abdomen is not intended to be a six pack every moment of the day. When anyone sits, the abdomen folds and goes floppy, naturally. It is a soft area. Next, you are probably great just as you are: society holds up ridiculous ideals which are unobtainable for the majority. We are not all built like supermodels - in fact they aren't much of the time. Computers are used to adjust their body shape in magazines and the camera can definitely lie!
If you must alter yourself, try jogging: we all need some exercise anyway. Specifically for your tummy, do sit ups, but start with just a few, or you will regret it. You need something to hook your feet under. If you don't have anything suitable, try holding onto the bottom of your bed and do leg raises to start with. This gets the abdomen just like sit-ups.

Stomach fat is often caused buy stress. Exercise really helps reduce stress so some type of exercise that works to strengthen your core like pilaties(spelling?) or even yoga would help. Any cardo really would help too. Diet is important too. I notice a lot of teens now are eatting way too much carbs and not enough protien and fruits and veges. Less pizza and french fries is going to make the biggest differents.

I used to be 15, and thought I was fat when in fact I was extraodinarily well proportioned. It was probably due to other people telling me I was fat when I was younger.
Do a BMI (body mass index) test on your weight/height. It is a better way of measuring your actual size compared to your percepted size.
A BMI of under 25 is not even slightly overweight. Over 30 and you ought to think about doing something.

Don't worry about it. just exercise and have a healthy diet. try to eat 3 times a day but don't snack after 6.00, because your body cannot burn off the food. so thats how people gain weight.
and if u feeel it isn't working don't worry, it takes time.

Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grain bread.
Eat less meat, sugar, fried foods, eggs, dairy.
Exercise every morning and every evening. Do 100 jumping jacks or go jogging. Self-discipline is needed, but you can do it!
