u know that song.. im blue da ba dee.... and everything is like blue.....what exactly is da ba dee? mean i hear "i will bleed i will die"? seriously! listen to the song doesnt it say that? it is so weird!

I'm blue (dabadee dabadi) ... the da ba dee part unless theres a more technically accurate term is known as scat singing
Remember that older song "I'm the scatman" between that he sang non-sense words?...
A variant is the Do-Wah type of songs.. where in the background
people sing things like "do wah do bie do.. do wah do bie wa-ah" or "Shoop Shoop", etc. during the song... one example is "If I ever fall in love again" (I think it was by Shai??) which incorperated some acapella, harmonising and so forth as well...
The words aren't meant to have a meaning, they're mostly just song filling or to sound pleasant or simply to be a meaningless feature of the song... ??? personally I enjoy it...
btw first time I heard it I thought they actually were signing if - I were green I would die...

yeah, ya right soda...can you remember da be dee da ba da (or something) by gypsy woman too? it was out a few years earlier than blue and just as wierd

yep its weird but once it gets in your head you have trouble getting rid of it and your singing it for weeks............thats how it became number one.
