You're due 20 days after me! Check and see what they're going to give you at the hospital by calling the birthing center before you start packing. They may give your nursing pads, diapers (cloth AND disposable), water, glass bottles, a diaper bag and a vinyl gift bag from Enfamil or other formula company, onesies for the baby a blanket, etc. There are many websites with a list of what to pack. My nurse who toured me and my husband told us to bring the babies clothing that she'll wear home, 2 outfits for me (maternity still! include your fav. pj's) my favorite hair products, snacks from home for their fridge is fine nowadays since new moms are not "sick," and the car seat installed then brought up to carry out the new little sweetheart. Whatever else you're comfortable with is all you need. Some lists online were short, some were long. You really have a lot to carry home, so consider packing now and taking out and putting in off an on as you feel lead. Congratulations!!!

I had my bag packed around 36 weeks. I also kept it light, meaning I didn't bring much. I brought a nursing gown, a change of clothes to go home in, slippers, an outfit for the baby, my hairbrush and toothpaste. The hospital usually provides towels, soap, shampoo, etc. If you haven't already, go visit the hospital for a tour so they can explain what is available.

Best of luck!
