never had any luck with that and have always replaced with new.
Cut out old with sharp stanley blade, remove residue and renew, can be a bit fiddly but worth it. I think its worth spending money on silicone as some seems to last a long time and otyher can go mouldy in a year

Hi
Last week I bought a product from the Lakeland shop called 'HG Mould spray' by HG International.
It states on the box ' HG mould spray immediately destroys fungus, algae and moss in damp places, inside and outside. For cleaning tiled walls and grouting in the bathroom, shower, toilet, kitchen, cellar, basement, sauna, swimming pool (if we are lucky enough to have one), garage, shed etc. It cleans also facades, balconies, plant boxes, garden ornaments etc. HG mould spray bleaches grey and black mould spots and green algae.'
I tried it on Saturday in the bathroom around the bottom tiles and silicone and the mould has definitely faded with the grouting looking whiter. It does recommend that you may have to repeat the process and not to leave the spray longer than 30mins on silicone (as it could turn brown, also tells you how to rectify it) I actually forgot and left it on for well over an hour and it seems fine. Obviously I would read the box before purchasing just in case you don't think it suitable. It was about £4.95
Hope this helps - Good luck

RE:
is there any way of cleaning black mould off silicone bathroom sealant?
Its all gone black round the bath and I'd rather not have to replace it all.

I am afraid that I personally have never been able to remove this myself. Spraying on bleach will not remove black staining that is within the sealant.
There are two solutions. Firstly you can remove and start again. There are sealants on the market that claim to be resistant to this type of mould.
Or you can apply another layer of sealant on top of the stained layer. You have to make it quite thick as thin layers of sealant are semi-transparant. This is also a short term solution as ultimately the mould will grow through.

Cover it in thick bleach, leave for a little while then scrub scrub scrub! Dettol make a mould and mildew killer which does a similar thing- Once you've had a go with the bleach I would buy some of this and give it all a squirt once a week to stop the problem coming back.

if its silicone and not grout its really easy to replace it but before adding the new silicone clean the area with bleach to remove the old residue

Put bleach (or mix water and bleach) into a spray bottle, and spray it on. The bleach will kill the mould.

SPRAY SOME VINEGAR ON IT AND LET IT SET. I'VE USED IT MANY TIMES. FOR REALLY BAD WASH REPEAT. USE A bleach product to finish whitening.
