I used to go there 4 to 5 years ago and a person could actually meet someone else as a friend. Now, its , everybody wants to know ASL, and can I come over, or will u check my cam/ pics out...everybody is so horny! isnt anybody getting any these days or am I being a prude? tell me if I dont belong on there if I cant give it up to just anybody? cuz I wont go there anymore but tell me whats expected if u just say hi to someone who IM's me...???

I think those sluts, horn dogs, and the likes have hijacked Yahoo chat. And those cam time selling bots. I do not even bother going there anymore. But I have met some really cool OK people there that I still chat with today. But it took weeks of wading through that cesspool to get them. And I think many can't read. they see "chat" and think they seen "date". Because like you, everyone wants to hit you with the ASL. As if that matters when talking abut art, science, music etc. People are so rude. Come out and before they even try to get to know you ask you things they would never ask you if they were on the platform with you waiting for the commute train. And those hypocrites that say for anyone to contact them, and then try to weed out those who are not b/f material, as if it mattered. She is in New York, and the person she does choose could be in London. So it is not like they are going to hook up and suck face. Expect to wade through 34 creeps, 17 rude people and 45 posers to find that one real person.

Depends on which room you go to....... I hadnt been in Yahoo! Chat for a couple of years, then I tried to go in the local rom for where I live in it was full of porn bots!!! There wasnt a real person in there it seemed like. So now I go to chat room The Kitchen, I have actually made a couple of good friends in there and I got some really good recipes from a professional baker!!

I don't know what ASL means but I have found chat rooms where they don't let people stay in if they are being rude.
There are some really good ones where you can share information... You just have to look.

Nope, the chat rooms aren't just for sexually frustrated weirdos. They are also a great place to go if you wanna have a 12 year old tell you to eat his/her ****.

The chat rooms are still fun, just 90% of the people that send instant messages are pervs. Still, I miss the member rooms.

Chat rooms are pretty weird and boring. You can get more quality conversation even on a dc hub , than in those places. Forget about them , because you are right.

yeah and dont forget the 'bots', see when yahoo shut down all the 'user'rooms the freaks came out of the woodwork into the regular rooms.

well verizion merged with yahoo i belive so they have got alot cleaner but ,most of the people are bots but i like it alot better now rather than 800 user made sex rooms with people looking for cams or guys looking for younger girls , its alot safer now i think.
