About fibe years ago, I bought my husband a gift of an acre of land on the moon. It was advertised as a sort of gag gift thing on the Howard Stern show. I thought it was funny. I got all these documents and I wondered if anyone else vought this and if it is truly just a prank, or does it have any value?

Diane, I don't understand your reply.

Did anyone cjeck out the site? It's interesting. Think about how land in the US was originally claimed.

I'm pretty sure you and your husband were duped. No one owns the moon so no one has the legal right to sell parts of it. I hope your husband didn't spend too much of phony moon realty.

That is hilarious. I have lunar class tomorrow night being held in the new glass building housed near the Plytharius quarter of arielieus quadrant - I'll ask Professor Grey, reincarnated from Roswell, the value of your moon acres.

If it works the way the US divied up land after the revolution, I suppose you two could claim the entire moon. Imagine that, owning a satellite planet/Moon.

Nope. The Moon belongs to nobody, so nobody can own it. It was decided in some sort of treaty amoungst the nations of the world that no nation had territorial rights over the Moon. Selling Lunar property is like selling the naming rights to stars.

I've heard of a lot of companies selling property on the moon. It's hard to tell who's telling the truth and who isn't.
Suppose you'll have to wait till human life on the moon becomes possible and then fight it out with the rest of the "property owners"

I have never heard of it, but if you can find out that it is really true, I would like to purchase one also. For investment purposes.. :).
Do you know the price for that?
