Talk to your friend! That's the best way to do. Don't give her violent reactions just ask her and then listen for her explanation, give her time to talk, analyze, if you think she's lying again, then that's the time to give your friend some space for her to realize that you do not want that kind of attitude. My best friend is like this and I know that she has a problem with this, she even admitted it. She knows that she has a problem with lying. I just am really careful about believing what she says to me and I don't tell her certain things.

Lying is probably a habit to him/her. A liar cannot be trusted and is not suitable as a friend as he/she may lie about you to come out of situation without a wink!!
