Got married in end of April this year. Have shifted now to Gulf region with my new job. My wife had her periods due on 10th but has missed htem till today that 15th. We are both at the begining of our careers and life and are not yet ready for the child. I want to know if the delay could be due to the new place which has very hot climate? Does one miss the period altogether or does it get only delayed when pregnant? Till what time is it safe to get abortion done? Does abortion mean the woman may not concieve again? How reliable is home pregnancy test? Do we need to show a doc if the test show negative?

Would be greatful to all who reply, as both my wife and i are really worried about the whole thing.

Please try and understant, we too know that children are a gift from god. But whats the point if we cannot give the child all the neccecities and care. As i said in my question we have moved to a new country and are yet to reach anywhere with our careers.
Please advice how safe it is to get abortion done if she is pregnant already. Will she not have periods all the while she is pregnant? Its a stupidity onour part as we practiced sex without condom, and relied on pulling off before coming.

Firstly, you two are married, and you have jobs. That's all you need to have a baby. You sound like you love each other and you obviously care for your wife. You don't want to abort your child. Especially if you want to know if she'll be able to conceive again. Children are not disposable. You can't choose when you want one, when you can keep this one, get rid of this one. If she is pregnant, the baby is here...regardless if you are ready or not.
Stress could make her miss her period. Pregnancy tests are like 98% accurate I think. You don't need to show a doctor your pregnancy test...they will do their own. If abortions are done wrong, and if you have multiple abortions, then yes, she may not be able to conceive again. Abortions are brutal, and to get a baby out is not pretty. They have to do some damage to get something out that is suppose to stay. So if you really care about your wife, abortion is not the way to go. It will not only do physical damage, but emotional damage you will never understand.

Good luck to you. God bless you.

Don't panic!!! This is not the end of the world. It sounds like you both are on track in your lives. You both have careers, your married and what would be so absolutely wrong with having a child? Abortion is absolutely not the answer, especially the situation you are in. It shouldn't even be considered in my opinion.

She's only 5 days late! It could be due to stress, there are many factors a woman could have a late period. But, why not just do a home pregnancy test to ease your minds? They are quite reliable and you do not need to show a pregnancy test to the doctor - positive or negative. If your wife was to go to the doctor they would be a pregnancy test of their own.

Anyway, hope I've helped a little! But honestly, if you's are pregnant, congratulations because you've just created the best miracle of all. Nothing is more precious and although that may be hard for you guys to see now - you will understand later in life when you are ready!

If an abortion is done improperly it can lead to complications that would result in her never being able to concieve. My question is, if you weren't ready to start a family why did you have sex without the benefit of protection and birth control? Home pregnancy tests are only as good as the box they come in. They sit on store shelves for months and loose their effectivness. What could very well be a pregnancy very often shows up as negative.

Do a pregnancy test. You can get the pregnancy kit from any pharmacy. You can try 2 tests to confirm the result if you want.

Alternative, you can go to polyclinic for a pregnancy test. If it's positive, they will refer your to the hospital. You pay less (there is a grant) when polyclinic refer you.

I don't suggest for an abortion, it might lead to difficult to conceive in future. And it's a great harm to a woman.
