store your favorite items in a hope-chest - they are made of repelling wood (cedar). Add bits of sandal wood or cedar in drawers and so on.

and, the most successful one: go through your kitchen, and toss all open starches that may be a nest (nests look like mini cobwebs, and flour will stick to it) (yuk), clean out all your woolens to make sure they have no stains that may attract the pests. Then close the house, and go on vacation! on your way back, you will be moth free.

Basil. Hang it in Satchels throughout the house. Also keeps flies and gnats away. To make it stroonger mix it with catnip. Unless you have a cat, then the kitty will go insane

Cedar wood, line your closets with it, they cannot stand the smell (expensive but natural).

Moth balls (cheap, but unnatural)
