My first suggestion, go to wprc.org perhaps you can find an answer to your question there. after that my thoughts are, whether you know it or not, both of the children in this case have committed a felony by having sex with a minor. As to the abortion issue that should be made only by the young lady. Her parents should be supportive of her decision and give her their love and forgive her for her mistake. The young man in this issue should now take responsibility even though he did not earlier. If the young lady chooses to have the child the young man should cover all expenses for Dr. visits and hospital costs. After the child is born then he should receive custody of the child and continue to be the father he says he wants to be. With co-parental rites to the Mother if she chooses to exercise them. Why should the young lady be the custodial parent? Especially when she is not wanting to go through the pain of having a child, let alone the responsibility of care and day to day nurturing of this child. Best of Luck to all concerned.

The 17 year old girl probably has a right to force the City or District attorney to file Statutory Rape charages against the boy and jail him, then he and his mother will be doing so many other fancy steps and paying lawyers bills they won't have time to worry about the Abortion.
A husband has rights. This is why we get married. The Father has no rights to visitation without a Judge and a father who is not a husbaband doesn't generally face child support demands.
That is another option, to FORCE the other family to pay ALL of not HALF the expenses of hospital and to pay $200 to $500 a month in child support to the age of 18 for the baby.
Generaly speaking in most states Abortions are up to the mother and in the case of a minor it requires ONE or both PARENTS of the female, no one else.

The parents of the father have no rights to stop the mother from having an abortion,
the parents of the boy could check the age of consent within the state if it's 17 then the parents of the boy could go to DA to ask for statutory rape charges be filed but doubt DA would follow up on it

Tricky one, in the UK, until the baby is born the father has no Parental Responsibility and he only has this if his name is on the birth certificate or he is married to the mother or marries her after the birth.
Grandparents have no legal rights.
Sorry hope this helps.

I don't think so. Under Roe vs Wade I think it's up to the woman to decide. They might try something along the line of civil court, but I doubt they have much say in it.

The opinion of the male has no bearing. The courts have already ruled that it's entirely up to the female.

Grandparents don't have much say in the US.
If the boy's mother is so opposed to abortion, she should keep him supplied with condoms.
