Wash your face with a gentle facial cleanser. If you are already wearing makeup, wash it off. It's easiest to start with a clean slate.
If you want to use any cover-up to hide scars, blemishes, or acne, now would be a good time to do so.
If you're thirty or under, you really don't need much foundation. However, if you are thirty or older, or have your heart set on using foundation, blend it in softly and spread it as evenly as you can.
Now time for blush. If you have fair skin, try a light pink. Olive skin can use golden pink. Dark skin should use berry shades, and tawny skin should go with the browner shades of the spectrum.
(See tips to find out what shape your face is.) Oval, square, and heart-shaped faces should apply blush from the apples of the cheeks up to the temples. Round faces should apply blush from the corners of the mouth to the temples. However, when trying to make your nose look smaller, it's best to apply blush closer to your nose to get small look.
To draw attention away from your nose, try exciting shades for lips or smoky eyes- something that brings your eye somewhere else. Be careful only to highlight one feature- otherwise this can turn out tacky or outdated.
Tips
Brush all your hair away from your face and tie it back or use a headband. With a lipstick or some sort of eyebrow pencil, trace the outline of your face. Now see if it is oval, square, heart-shaped, or round.
If you use bronzer, you should apply this instead of blush, following the same areas.
It is best not to have any nose rings or studs, as these draw attention to your nose.
Warnings
Some kinds of makeup can be harmful with sensitive skin. Look for non-comodogenic makeup, or another makeup that has worked for you in the past. To check if makeup is safe, put a little on the back of your wrist and wait twenty-four hours to see if you have an allergic reaction or any other type of unwanted reaction.

I hate my nose, too! Um, try a side part; when you have a straight part, it draws more attention to the center of your face, i.e, the nose. Also, I've heard that navy blue eyeliner, or whatever blue you desire, I guess, also detracts attention away from the nose. Don't get surgery, though...it's too expensive. You could use the money for something else!

Your hair style and accessories can be used to balance your nose. Sometimes a big nose can be striking. Think of how beautiful Jennifer Gray was in Dirty Dancing was and how un noticable she is now that she had her nose reduced. Go to a really good salon and get a style that frames and complements your face. If you wear eyeglasses, go to an upscale shop and get glasses that look good with your features. If you use makeup, learn to apply it in a way that is complimentary.

Contour with different shades of cosmetics. Place darker colors on the areas you want to "look" smaller, highlight the areas you want to emphasize or to look larger.
4 the nose, shawdow the sides, or nostrils. Then empahize your eyes, and/or lips (maybe) by choosing pronounced colors, to balance the look.
DO NOT: do loud eyes and lips at the same time. Just one or the other for balance.
IF YOURE A GUY: Just a touch of darker translucent powder on the sides of the nose (blended to disapper on the edges) should do.

How old are you? Too many times young girls think they look horrible because of a minor problem. Ask a good friend if she, or he, thinks you have an ugly nose. I had an Italian girlfriend who had a rather (large!) nose, but it only added to her beauty and uniqueness. Trust me, she never lacked for dates. Her mother has the same nose and all of we younger boys worshiped her!

Using makeup can help diminish the look of an enlarged nose...

(shading around the nose area, using jewelery and other accessories can take the attention OFF your nose and only on your great personality!)

Make-up. It's called contouring. I read somewhere that you draw either a darker or lighter shade of foundation by the bridge of your nose or something. Look it up as I am not entirely sur eof how it goes.

If there is, I sure would like to know. As far as I have found out, and I have looked into it, plastic surgery seems to be about the only way.
